Corporé powered by SilverCloud has officially landed.

It’s here!

Corporé powered by SilverCloud has officially landed. Providing mental health and wellbeing services, Silvercloud, the digital platform, helps users manage, prevent and cope with their conditions. Corporé, is the first to provide a digital wellbeing tool to the general insurance and claims market.

How does it work?

The digital platform provides support to those with mental health and wellbeing conditions through the use of personalised programmes and data collection.. Containing 40+ different programmes to offer support to aid those with mental health conditions, Silvercloud presents different   strategies and exercises to help cope with stressful situations and maintain positive wellbeing.

The programmes are tailored to help each individual user, with coaches on hand to support and guide people 24/7, integrating exercises within current treatment and care pathways. There is also the option of a self-guided approach, where individuals are able to overcome personal hurdles at their own pace, avoiding societal stigmas surrounding mental health to better focus on their own journey towards improved wellbeing.

These services can be reached from anywhere through mobile phone, desktop or tablet devices- support and guidance at your fingertips!

The platform offers preventative and coping mental health measures to individuals who need them; an invaluable service By improving the wellbeing of our injured parties, this will positively affect their journey to recovery.

Mark Stirrup, Managing Director of Corporé, stated, “Corporé was the first to market in personal injury for Musculoskeletal triage, the first to market for psychological triage, and now, through SilverCloud, we are the first to offer injured people a digital psychological treatment. We believe that the application of ‘people plus technology’ in rehabilitation is fast becoming the norm for rehabilitation following injuries.”

But how can this digital service benefit you?

Benefits for you

With 40+ services available, there is an extensive range of programmes aimed to improve mental health and wellbeing. Mark Stirrup, Managing Director of Corporé cited “SilverCloud can be used as a replacement for, or in addition to, traditional treatments, or prescribed once physical treatment has concluded as a support mechanism.” This additional psychological support will improve the wellbeing of the injured party, allowing them to focus on full recovery with low provider costs.

Mark Stirrup continues “For all injuries, particularly serious ones, physical treatment has historically been the priority for rehabilitation services, but good quality psychological support, which SilverCloud delivers, enabling a patient to recover quicker with a better overall clinical outcome.”

He followed on by explaining that Corporé acts as a representative for insurers. “Treatments may be either ‘supported’ with a clinician (such as a physiotherapist, nurse or occupational therapist) overseeing the whole process, or ‘unsupported’ for more minor psychological support.” The team at Corporé works with clinicians to prepare a rehabilitation plan for each injured party which is then approved and paid for by the insurer.

Well thought out recovery for the injured party is at the forefront of Corporé SilverCloud’ s digital service. This tool aids people in their recovery journey due to its accessibility, as explained by Mark Stirrup. “Digital treatments such as SilverCloud are proven to increase injured parties’ engagement due to convenience of access (not appointment bound and can be accessed anywhere across multiple platforms), an increased sense of control and removal of the obstacle of accessing services due to stigma.” By breaking down mental health barriers, the injured party can better focus on their recovery, avoiding lengthy claims procedures for insurers, minimising costs.

Silver Cloud enables clinicians to easily collect and analyse patient data, both to measure mental health conditions and understand the effectiveness of treatment for individuals and for the whole cohort of patients using digital treatment tools. Mark Stirrup emphasised the benefit, stating, “Data analytics will give us the opportunity to continuously improve the tool, and provide insurers and clinicians with granular detail on the extent of an injured party’s engagement, how specific injuries play out in terms of their impact on a customer’s mental health, and the time taken to fully recover.”

To be able to continuously improve SilverCloud will allow our case managers to always prescribe the most suitable programme, underlining our aim to provide the best rehabilitation initiatives that meet the injured party’s needs to aid their recovery. As informed by Mark Stirrup, “All our case managers are now being trained in the use of SilverCloud and will assess whether to prescribe SilverCloud programmes based on the suitability of the injured party’s problem, and their capability, opportunity and motivation to use the approach.”

This personalised psychological digital tool can support injured parties towards a better recovery, which in turn will minimise the length of claims, and prevent any future issues arising for the insurer.

The Evidence

The impact the digital platform will have on an injured party’s recovery is invaluable. The evidence speaks for itself:

  • Up to 80% of users show improvement in depression and anxiety symptoms
  • There is up to a 70% clinical recovery for SilverCloud users
  • 65% of users experience clinically significant improvements
  • 56% of individuals with a clinical diagnosis of depression or anxiety were diagnosis free at 3 months from using this platform
  • This digital tool has helped over 800,000 people manage their mental health and wellbeing
  • A quarter of the cost is used for SilverCloud in comparison to face to face sessions
  • 4 times the amount of people are treated using this tool, compared to face-to-face sessions

Already this platform is used by 500+ organisations, including the NHS, showing the reliability Silvercloud can offer. Mark Stirrup added, “SilverCloud is already used extensively by the NHS, and now for the first time we are making it available in the personal injury market for insurance customers.” Introducing this tool to the personal injury market will transform rehabilitation methods to include easily accessible wellbeing support whilst individuals are focusing on recovery, leading to an improved quality of life, and ensure better, cost-effective outcomes for insurers.
