Corporé wins ‘Rehab Provider of the Year’ 2020 at the PI Awards

We've won an award!

The 13th Personal Injury Awards was held virtually on the 1st of December 2020, providing a unique opportunity to highlight and celebrate the excellence of individuals and organisations across the personal injury sector and we are delighted to announce that we were the winner of ‘Rehab Provider of the Year’!

The objectives of the awards are to identify high standards of practice and to inspire others to emulate the achievements demonstrated by those who have been shortlisted. This year the shortlist featured highly respected rehabilitation providers and we were advised the standards were extremely high, however our submission, focusing on our bespoke Major Incident Rehabilitation Service (MIRS), won over the judging panel who had this to say:

“The winner of the ‘Rehab Provider of the Year’ award provided a crucial service in the aftermath of a high profile event, demonstrating innovation, excellent governance and exemplary leadership to deliver timely and tailored rehabilitation services. The winner is… Corporé!”

Amanda Stevens, Hudgell Solicitors, Judging committee – Personal Injury Awards

Our multi award winning, renowned and unrivalled Major Incident Rehabilitation Service (MIRS), which was also awarded last year’s Insurance Post ‘Claims Initiative of the Year’ accolade, has supported the survivors of a variety of high profile disasters, including motorway crashes; train derailments such as the Croydon tram crash; terror incidents such as the Salisbury Novichok attack and Manchester Arena bombing; and industrial incidents such as the Didcot Power Station collapse.

This year’s submission concentrated on how this vast expertise in complex injury and large loss rehabilitation has been utilised for an extremely high profile disaster that occurred in 2017, leaving the nation in a state of shock and hundreds of survivors with complex rehabilitative needs. We have since delivered a broad range of vital treatment and support to the survivors and those affected by this incident that led us to win both of these esteemed awards.

Our team of rehabilitation case managers and trauma rehabilitation specialists play an instrumental role in the recovery process of those affected in serious incidents, helping survivors, witnesses and those affected by the tragedy through clinically governed, managed rehabilitation programmes, whilst coming to terms with witnessing multiple fatalities and having to carry on with life and work, in the vicinity of the disaster with the constant haunting reminders of the event.

For this particular incident, we really have gone above and beyond to provide a truly bespoke rehabilitation to in excess of 150 survivors, our ‘Survivor First’ approach resulted in a first class, unrivalled service and solid evidence of successful treatment in an extremely difficult and challenging environment for all involved.

“Despite the backdrop of a challenging year, Corporé has once again demonstrated total commitment to delivering exceptional rehabilitation for the survivors and witnesses of major incidents, emergency and high profile disaster situations.   The talent and drive of our clinical and support teams never fail to inspire me and I’m so proud of their achievements and the results we have seen in these very complex personal injury cases. A heart-felt ‘well done’ to everyone at Corporé. Together we’re better!”

Mark Stirrup, Managing Director, Corporé
