Our clinically trained, experienced Desktop Case Managers successfully manage a variety of injury types over the phone, ensuring all our clients still receive the high level of care they would with a face-to-face appointment.
But what is Desktop Case Management and how does it help those affected by an incident? We’re taking a closer look at what exactly is involved and how this way of working can be a major benefit to not only the individual suffering from an injury, but also all of the other parties concerned in the recovery process.
A Desktop Case Manager is used in situations where the creation, deployment and monitoring of a rehabilitation plan are required, but not to the extent that a Field Case Manager would need to oversee the case.
From liaising with the injured party to identify their needs and report on their progress, to helping plan and arrange treatment sessions, our Desktop Case Managers play an integral role in the end-to-end management of recovery and rehabilitation whilst maintaining open lines of communication between all parties.
With effective Desktop Case Management, rehabilitation plans can be implemented more successfully – and as our dedicated team has a wealth of clinical experience, they can identify the best care pathway for the individual, helping them achieve optimum health and their rehabilitation goals.
Following an Immediate Needs Assessment, the most appropriate treatment pathway is chosen. Our dedicated Case Managers do this by assessing the individual’s recovery status with the help of specialist clinicians and detailed reporting to build an accurate picture of their progression and current state. This might be where additional treatment is recommended, such as additional physiotherapy or CBT sessions.
For certain case types, liaising with the person affected over the phone can be more effective.
This is because Desktop Case Management allows our team to contact individuals more frequently and manage caseloads effectively – ultimately improving efficiency and cutting costs for the insurer and the person involved in the accident.
