Embrace Major Incident Rehabilitation Service for Claimant Solicitors

Providing fast-responding support following a major incident

Corporé has developed a Major Incident Support Team, made up of expert Case Managers, who are on hand to provide fast responding support to injured individuals, their families and any witnesses of the catastrophic event.

Using an early intervention approach, our expert Desktop Case Management team will triage each individual and provide advice and support for both physical and psychological symptoms.

That way, we can provide expert case management to empower recovery and help get the best possible support for the injured client.

How it works
  • Upon instruction, a designated Embrace MIRS helpline is provided to injured parties to contact our expert Crisis Management team as quickly as possible.
  • Next, the team will arrange bespoke triage and Initial Needs Assessments (INAs) to clarify the needs of the injured party.
  • Clinical Experts will provide on-the-ground support.
  • Further treatment support is arranged by our Case Managers to support physical and psychological injury.
  • Regular progress tracking keeps everyone informed.
  • If required, our in-house Psychological Treatment services team will provide psychological support alongside other treatments.
  • We come back to you with clear, understandable reports.
What it's suitable for

Following major incidents, support is required immediately to ensure the right needs are met for Injured Parties, avoiding harmful delays and inappropriate treatment access that will escalate a claim.

Embrace MIRS Features

Dedicated MIRS Helpline

A dedicated Crisis Management team is assigned to all MIRS cases, providing instant access to people with the right expertise and specific training to deal with major trauma.

Upon instruction, a telephone helpline is provided to all Injured Parties, either to encourage self-referral or from direction via the Claims team to attain early access to support, education and treatment.

Initial Needs Assessments

Our Crisis Management team arranges bespoke triage and Initial Needs Assessments (INA’s) for each individual to identify their complete rehabilitation needs. This will include trusted advice and support for both physical and psychological symptoms.

These assessments are delivered via telephone or video call, allowing injured parties to access support, necessary treatment and advice as quickly as possible following a major incident.

Experts on the Ground

Once we’ve worked with you to identify the needs of the Injured Party, Corporé’s Case Managers will arrange for Clinical Experts to access the site of the incident and provide vital face-to-face support.

Treatment

Following assessments, treatment is then arranged by our Case Managers. Dependent on the Injured Party’s needs, they’ll be able to access both NHS and private treatment services, as well as our own in-house services. This includes trauma-focused counselling, physiotherapy and specialist treatment.

Throughout treatment, our Case Managers use assessments to validate recommendations and monitor recovery to report back to the insurer, eliminating costly over-treatment.

In-House Psychological Treatment Team

Our in-house Psychological Treatment services team provides holistic support to individuals following major incidents. While treatment is being provided for any physical injury, our in-house team of Clinical Psychologists, Counselling Psychologists and Health Psychologists will support any psychological concerns triggered from a traumatic incident. They provide a professional, empathetic service for both the injured party and their families or co-workers.

Whilst NHS and NICE (National Institute of Clinical Excellence) guidelines recommend a period of ‘watchful waiting’ following a traumatic event, our in-house Psychological Treatment team may be initiated further down the rehabilitation plan to provide holistic, bespoke support to injured parties to achieve better overall outcomes following catastrophic events.

Overarching Clinical Governance

Our overarching Clinical Governance framework ensures the highest clinical quality is provided in all catastrophic cases. Through regular audits, feedback and training we can provide robust Clinical Governance and quality to all our cases. This governance is guaranteed by our own in-house teams, and external oversight, for additional peace of mind.
